THE PHILOSOPHY OF HUMAN ENERGY..!

Growing up as a child, I wouldn’t believe one day I would be so conscious about how I manage my energy due to its inherent value. While serious things get the most of our time like studies and house chores, games and other pursuits take the best part of our energy. With this discrepancy, we sometimes find it difficult to understand why things don’t work out as they ought to. Sometimes we hang it to fate, hoping for a divine intervention, and other times, we even forget our original desires.

Many may wonder about the significance of energy because we have been made to believe time is everything. Energy, however, defies a singular definition, assuming different definitions across various disciplines and contexts. So, I would start by making a few analogies which will help us see energy for what it is, beyond the cosmetic value we attach to it.

Time spent they say can never be redeemed. Yet, we while away time during our leisure without concern for its value. We hardly feel perturbed that time has been spent without any serious return in value from it. Now let’s imagine spending the same amount of leisure time doing serious work, only to be told at the end of the work that it’s no longer required. Our first reaction will be frustration, anger, or disappointment beyond imaginable measure. Why? Because time spent was coupled with a toll of energy from us. Time with or without our consent moves and keeps moving, but energy is what gives time value. Energy is what infuses time with value, serving as the driving force behind our experiences.

Consider the music we listen to. Sometimes full of profound content and another time stuff with mediocre lyrics. To our amazement, music with mediocre lyrics sometimes garners more attention while profound content ones find it hard to make waves beyond the recording studio. This phenomenon illustrates the power of energy to captivate audiences.

Energy is the spark of life in things. Despite our aversion to subpar music, its energy compels us to listen to it and involuntary move our feet to its rhythm. This ensures its ubiquitous presence in all radio stations that we get engulfed in its wave. While Justin Bieber is a successful artist, his song Baby feat. Ludacris received criticism for its repetitive lyrics and perceived lack of depth. However, it was backed with a strong energy that it took over every radio station and was tempting to make you sing along.

Similarly, we may want to look at the experience of heartbreak which transcends societal constructs. Some bounce back early from it and others may linger in it for the rest of their lives. Broken hearts are not just for “Romeo”, nor pro-titanic lovers and neither is it for those who have spent much wealth in their relationship. While we may want to talk about the time invested in relationships we might want to ask, what happens to those who spend less time but still suffer broken hearts?

Love is a flow of energy from one point to another (King, U. 2004). And this energy and its manifestation transcends time and material possession. We see a king fall, we see a wise man run naked, we see the strong beg, and we see what our minds can’t even comprehend. King Edward VIII renounced the British throne to marry Wallis Simpson an American socialite which led to his abdication in 1936.

Energy spent is more draining than time spent. So, we find those with less time and those with more time, those with wealth and those who must beg, those with beauty and those seen as ugly, all at the mercy of this emotionally draining energy called a broken heart.

The human being is a wonderful creature, and we can’t fully comprehend the wonders we harbour. We can strive to understand if only we can start from the source which is our energy. By scrutinizing the energy expended in all facets of life—emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual—we can appreciate the greatness of what our energies can do and the transformative power inherent within us.

The popular phrase: give it time, only means to say give it the requisite amount of energy. But some may ask; we may give it our energy, yet it doesn’t work. That’s when the re-distribution of energy becomes key to your being. When you fairly distribute your energy to the various facets of your life, it helps you foster resilience in the face of disappointments.

It behoves us to acknowledge that we are beings of energy and, we should learn to manage our energy output. Whether in matters of love, education, exercise, or spiritual growth, we should know our energy exerts a profound influence in sending a ripple effect in other people’s energy circle to move along with us. The world pulsates with energy. The human being pulsates energy. Learn to manage it, and you will be at peace with your innermost self.

Thank You…!

HUE

Shot by Judyjothini

All has its hue

Of the things that make it true

At our horizons rest treasures new

So great yet seen by few

All has its beauty

The noise,

the silence,

Like the waves when they are high and low

All has its time

Be it a push or a pull

Everything falls in its place

The picture, eventually becomes clear

All wait on something

Be it a beautiful desire

Or a gruesome fear

A man’s anxiety is his path to ruin

So embrace what is

And not what was

As the tide comes and fades

Every beautiful moment will soon become a memory

SUNSET

Tower Bridge, London

When the rays sync in hue
And we now know what’s true
Dreams so dear yet undue
For good and bad flows in queue

Different shades of us like a rogue
Our life’s tape becomes a revue
The wrong steps we take is an issue
And the right ones people still argue

When the light shines
Everyone bears a shadow
The brighter your light
The bigger the darkness you must fight

EVERYDAY STRANGERS..!

Everyday Strangers!

People and Places

Of what lies therein

The unknown paths we charted

Some we choose and some,

a tale for those we leave behind

Moments and Memories

Of what lies therein

The emotions and actions we show

Some are for the show and some,

a story for those we leave behind

Time and Tide

Of the waves that blow

And the many things we think we know

We never seem to get enough

So we stretch necks to another’s home

As we come and as we go

Enemies become friends

For the little friends couldn’t do

Friends become enemies

For unchecked stories we love to hear

Things happen

And we wear the scars like necklace

Quick to anger

But snail to smiles

Taking pride in being beautiful beasts

6 feet underground

We now wet the earth with tears

Grimacing with roses

Of moments we could’ve avoided

We can’t even count our losses

Strange feelings, stranger faces

We bypass each other with cold shoulders

Weary heads dangling on tired necks

Everyone so much about nothing

Here we are, like we never were

A MOMENT IN GRACE..!

……paused in time

to reflect on the goodies of life

To what we once shrugged

Now we are careful not to get drugged

…….paused in time

to reminisce on memories so sweet

To moments we paid no heed to

Now we make every second count

……..paused in time

to trace back steps taken in haste

Faint paths may yet lead to the goal

Carry faith wherever you go

………paused in time

to paint beauty with my ink

Eyes are indeed the door to truth

What you see, is a reflection of what is

…….paused in time

to show gratitude to my Lord

The pieces will all make sense

When they begin to fall in their place

PURSUIT OF PURPOSE!

I dreamt of a feeling so distant

To see what many times heard of

Of the greatest building on earth

Black and belted in gold

No great tale has ever been told

Some call it a “calling”

Some call it a “desire”

Longing yet not reaching

Reaching yet not finding

Opportunity is sometimes a silver lining

I traveled by night

And the desire to reach you was my light

I paused to rest by the day

And to sing your praises became my hay

I found your house and I fell in a trance

There’s beauty in praises

More beautiful when it’s in unison

To call on the One who answers all

Tears, smile and fulfilment finds us all

For what’s been sought has been be found

Praise be to His name

In whose dominion one finds tranquility

Praise be to His name

In whose dominion every soul finds its purpose

No journey worthy than that which leads to You

THE CURTAINS ARE RAISED..!

Fear sprout like a fertile seed

When we linger in nightmare

“White men” no longer travel

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

Time ticks and tales are told

History is being made

But the heart of men yearns for gold

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

To be awake is scary

To be asleep is even wary

Hope is strong but blurry

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

Bricks upon bricks

Sweat and saliva in place of mortar

A hollow house, an empty haven

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

The excuses are lame

So there’s no one to blame

Our visions lighted up in flames

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

The past is buried

The present is rotten

And the future wantonly forgotten

The curtains are raised

And the ashes are laid

Layers of lies

Peeled with tears

Men are their own nightmare

When the curtains are raised

All we have are but realities of ashes

GOOD AS A GOOSE..!

Write me a dream
Of beautiful morning light
Breaking barriers of weary eyes
To grasp nature’s beauty in its purity

Throw me a coin
To join heads or wait like a tail
Either way we must carve path
In dreams or reality we must get there

Give me a shot
In portrait or with insulin
I just want to be high
For low spirit can’t rhyme with nature’s beat

Good as a goose
The light will shine on us all
Bleat or bark, but don’t be a brag
In humility we all may find comfort

Make your mark
Even if it’s with your breath
Find for your spark
As wet leaves don’t make a fire

ARE WE TO SLEEP?

Beautiful dreams maketh a sound sleep

Beneath the cloak of fear we lay abed

Life fading with potentials along

Living as seeds harvested beneath ground

All are born free

Yet many with dreams tend to flee

Hide or get spoilt we say

But life expires us all by night

Say your goodbyes by the day

And make your hay while the sunshine

Dreams do decay if not tend to action

Will you wait till you are back to clay?

Evil sleeps not they say

So lose not your sleep thinking evil will sleep

For even with joy death will come

Happy or sad, it cares not how you lived

Breathe some air while you can

For heaven will settle what’s left of us

Harm may be prevented but it’s not inevitable

For the pain, joy and all of it will one day fade

Please live while you are alive

WHEN I WRITE ABOUT YOU..!

When I write about you.!

Tears escape my eyes,

than ink does from my pen

Of innocent communities,

stripped of their might and valour

When I write about you..!

I find not the words to escape the cruelty

I find not the might to think of such reality

Even as its brutality still lives in the present day

While we beg for attention with nakedness unseen

When I write about you..!

I travel back in time with excruciating pain

But today’s reality promises me no gain

For we have dropped the chains

And happily wore the cuffs

When I write about you..!

I see a picturesque of painful history

Men with honour dragged to the corner

As history is told by the drum beater

So we wantonly danced to such tune

When I write about you..!

I wish things will change,

from the time you dropped the chains

But greed took the better of you

And here we are again running to nowhere

When I write about you..!

I wish I can massage the present

To make way for a beautiful future

But the vestiges of past torments

Seem to carve the blueprint of our failure

When I write about you..!

Let me have a pinch of hope

I feared the man with chains

But you make scared of you with the ballot

Tell me with sincerity; who should I root for?
