People and Places

Of what lies therein

The unknown paths we charted

Some we choose and some,

a tale for those we leave behind

Moments and Memories

Of what lies therein

The emotions and actions we show

Some are for the show and some,

a story for those we leave behind

Time and Tide

Of the waves that blow

And the many things we think we know

We never seem to get enough

So we stretch necks to another’s home

As we come and as we go

Enemies become friends

For the little friends couldn’t do

Friends become enemies

For unchecked stories we love to hear

Things happen

And we wear the scars like necklace

Quick to anger

But snail to smiles

Taking pride in being beautiful beasts

6 feet underground

We now wet the earth with tears

Grimacing with roses

Of moments we could’ve avoided

We can’t even count our losses

Strange feelings, stranger faces

We bypass each other with cold shoulders

Weary heads dangling on tired necks

Everyone so much about nothing

Here we are, like we never were
