YOU AND I

image

Flashes of memories spilled on the floor of my brain
As I kneel down in humility to pick every grain of happiness you gave me
None to forfeit in order to salvage the other
For complete is incomplete until every piece falls in its place

From the silent, dark and lonely womb
To the turbulent, cold and hazy world
You find me no matter how deep I fall
As my pain became your tears
And my joy became your cheers

I do bark and sometimes roar
I do whinge and sometimes sting
I do whine and sometimes act unrefined
Yet you stomach all my pains and still breed me fine
Holding me tight like a drunkard dines with his wine

Storm and hurricane I never fear
For your love around my neck I always wear
An angel with no wings
For I fly with your wings above all ills
And in you I find my first Eve

When they see the flaws you see beyond it the potential
And when they see the faults you see behind it the strive
And when they see the failures you see within it the honor
And if I would come back a million times it will always be You and I

NOT SO BAD!

image

Many we may never meet
But by our words and deeds they may rise to their feet
Many we may never know
But by our perseverance they learn to grow
Many we may never meet to shake hands
But by our demeanor they may find their way to the stands

We suffocate not from our loss of breath
But we have choked our pipes for the want of more
Little by little the bird makes its nest
For if we push all at a go, we may have to leave the glory and go

Our heads we bury in shame for not being able to catch the fame
Putting in frames the good we may give for ourselves and beyond
Little maybe the deeds but greater the impact if we put in our all
Some may run and others may walk
But never stop even if we must crawl

Count the blessings and learn the lessons
Life is enough a class that we must take part in every session
Celebrate our effort no matter how little
Sleep not on our laurels for we must give until we have emptied our barrels
For there’s more to fill in a world so full of vacuums

NOT OUR WAY!

Tales from Steve
Of events that cause the heart to grieve
Ridiculing taste of the warm cuddles
Endowed in the beautiful body of Ayeley that she wanders aloof

Cheers from Dave
Of a ceremony between he and he that brings back memories from the grave
Deep in the annals of history man once lost his way
Sadly though we found our light only to go back embracing the dark

Hails from the silent mass
Of the opprobrious scent that lingers on the nose yet we fail to smell
Men rivaling babies for diapers, for what we are yet to know
To deceive nature is to fool ourselves if we only care to know

Tears from Mother Earth
Of natural reasoning assigned to machines while the human becomes its slave
Result no matter how has become important than the process
Failing to know that nature always finds a way to get back at us
For like the bird we may choose fly all day But we never get buried in the sky
